About Me
My interest in psychology and therapy developed in my high school years because I wanted to learn more about human nature. I thought therapy was amazing and I simply wanted to become a therapist so that I can help others. It motivated me through my undergrad in Psychology at San Francisco State University and my Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy at Phillips Graduate Institute.
I have experience working with adults, teens, and children. My clinical professional interests include acculturation, cultural awareness, sexual health, anxiety, and depression. Some of my preferred modalities are Emotion-focused therapy(EFT), Person-Centered Therapy, Brainspotting, and Motivational Interviewing, however, I believe each client responds to therapy differently and my goal is to create a curious space for self-awareness.
I am particularly interested in the intersectionality of trauma, culture, and mental health. I work from a systems perspective, meaning that I will often explore how relationships, culture, and other systems impact your well-being and health.
